Individual Behavior

My future manager would have to understand the individual behavior idea based on the "Big Five" traits concerning agreeableness. It is very important for a manager to understand that a reliable employee is someone who is helpful, trustworthy, courteous and can get along with others. An employee who lacks these traits can not work in an environment where working as a team or in a group is essential.
A manager needs to understand that the traits concerning agreeableness create a better workplace for everyone to be in. If a manager wants to run a successful company then his/her employees would have to be on the same page. An employee who is disruptive, dishonest, skeptical and tough will not create a working environment that flourishes success and self actualization to want to succeed within the company.

  1. I couldn't agree more with your assessment of how an employees attitude must mend with that of the business as a whole. Although, I also believe that a truly good manager will be able to get the best work out of each employee. That is, if there is a way to get an otherwise productive employee to work with others, the good manager will be able to find it.

  2. I agree with you and think that a manager needs to have a full understanding of what the "big five" traits are. I also think that a manager and the employees need to be on the same page to have success within the company. Like you said, both the manager and the employee need to know what is expected of them.

  5. I agree that a manager needs to understand the traits of each employee. If the traits of each group member is drastically different, it would be difficult for them to cooperate and end up harming the work they had been assign to.
